Energy Efficient Appliances
Have you wondered how to quickly effect real Home Energy Savings and get back in control of how much your home costs you?.
Power and buying power are something that we are all used to. We see the physical benefits of the cost when we switch on a light, and we feel the cost of the energy we are using when we put the fire on, and our homes warm up on cold winter nights. It’s if you think about it, it is easy to see the energy we spend, but how can we see proof of the energy we could save…
The key is to find out what is costing you the most and see where savings can be made without necessarily affecting your lifestyle.
As you work through your home, you will see some changes that will make a difference, and you may then want to make changes that could affect how you live in and use your home.
Energy Efficient Appliances, is it worth replacing our old, reliable refrigerator or washer with new energy-saving devices?.
What are these new machines saving, using less of, or helping us protect? Let’s take a closer look and find some answers.
It takes quite a lot of motivation and understanding to get most people to go out on a sunny Saturday morning to buy a new washing machine when ‘Old Reliable’ is still working, washing our clothes day in and day out without fail.
It may take considerable convincing to buy an updated version of a refrigerator when we have one that looks like new and is apparently in perfect working order.
Who says that we should replace our dishwasher with a newer energy-saving version when both models look the same to us?
And why on earth would we want to go to all the expense of buying a new freezer when our old one fits perfectly into the space we have available and we have it nicely stocked up?
The list goes on with our water cooler, room AC, our dehumidifier, air cleaners, and even our battery chargers…
I don’t think that anyone expects us to quickly change and update all of these old appliances to energy-efficient appliances overnight, do they?
It would take a lot of hard earned cash and lets face it we didn’t buy all the old conventional items on the same day did we – those costs were usually spread out over months and even years, but perhaps the important thing is to start – but that still leaves us with the question of why we should even begin to make that investment.
